For Proper NO2 and SO2 Readings, the Standard Emissions Probe contains a
battery operated Permeation Drier (40 CFR 60, Appendix A Method 6C Sec.
5.1.5) 24"L. X 3/8" OD. Inconel probe with Hastelloy X sintered filter and ½" deflector mounted on permeation drier housing. Probe housing connects to instrument via a 10 ft. Viton(R) hose. Max. continuous temperature: 2000 deg. F. Max. sample dew point (past drier): 50 deg. F.@ 600 cc/min. (Natural gas fuel @ 0% oxygen). For lower dew points an optional supplemental moisture removal is available.
| VELOCITY-EMISSIONS PROBE (VEP) ASSEMBLY
|
To meet the Performance Requirements of EPA's Method 2, the VEP option
is available. Three part 316 stainless steel detachable welded assembly. Consists of 3/8" OD sample probe with sintered filter, two sections of 3/16" S type pitot tube and sheathed type K thermocouple. Standard length 17". (Specify desired size of optional length). Max. Continuous temperature: 1700 deg. F. |
| 9 Pin - RS-232c port (switch selectable DTE or DCE ), 300-9600 (1200 default) baud, user selectable, half duplex, 1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity. |
| Internal 1200 baud modem connects to a modular phone line for remote communication. (A 50 word command set sends instructions to the unit for remote control and troubleshooting) |
| Eight analog outputs, 0-5 VDC, of the following parameters: stack temperature, ambient temperature, oxygen, combustibles, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide. |
| ENERCOM for Windows(TM) software. 3 1/2" diskette includes MONITOR, ALARMS, FUEL PROGRAMMING, BAR GRAPHS and LINE PLOTS including CUMULATIVE PLOTS of mass emissions. It calculates emission averages, Standard Deviations, identifies Min and Max values. All data is saved in a variety of common formats for use directly in commercially available spreadsheets. |

MISCELLANEOUS |
|
NO SENSOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL
(Automatic) To avoid sensor zero drift, which is a function of the interaction
between the temperature (Arrhenius Law), and the NO sensor's previous exposure
history, the temperature of the NO sensor is nominally kept at 25 Degrees Celsius
(See CTM-022 Secs. 2.3.1.
and 7.2.1.)
CALIBRATION CERTIFICATION PROTOCOL
(Automatic) Automatic printout of both auto zero and span calibration test results, including sensor diagnostics and filter performance status. The protocol provides the user with an early warning of sensor and/or filter deterioration or failure. (See CTM-022 sec. 6.6.)
Note:
The Performance Specifications are Equivalent to EPA's traditional NOx
Test Method - 40 CFR 60, Appendix A, Method 7E.
CTM-022 Section 4.0 Measurement System Performance Specifications:
| 4.1 | Measurement System Calibration Error | +/- 2% of High Range Calibration Gas |
| 4.2 | Sampling System Bias Test | +/- 5% of High Range Calibration Gas |
| 4.3 | Zero Drift | +/- 3% of High Range Calibration Gas |
